is for full compassion
From God, the Lord of all,
Bestowed upon His children
Each one, both great and small.
He ne’er forgets His dear ones
Who with Him daily plead;
His heart moves for afflicted
And fainting ones in need.
Christ Jesus, so surrounded
With man’s infirmity,
Offers His tender mercy
To those in misery.
For wretched, grieving people
So Shepherd-less and lost,
He proffers desperate sinners
His sanctifying cross.
Compassion from the Spirit,
Our Comfort and our Aid,
Doth bear with us in trials—
His voice we can obey.
Share then the heart of Jesus—
Sympathy deep and true
And love for every brother
Whose heart the Lord makes new.
C is for full compassion
That’s offered from above
To each of God’s dear children--
A token of His love.
“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion,
and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.”
