The I is for our Infinite God,
Who stretches far beyond time and space;
His limitless essence doth abound
Forevermore, to eternal days.
This infinite God, unfailing stands,
Unchanging and vast—through every span.
As numberless stars do fill the sky,
Infinity doth pervade God’s plan.
His holy wisdom and truth outstretch—
As fathomless as earth’s sands do lie
Across broad coasts innumerable,
Abiding ever, constantly by.
God changes not; He’s immutable—
Limitless, He perpetually
From age to age shall ever endure;
His greatness will last eternally.
“Great is our Lord, and of great power:
his understanding is infinite,"
