Alphabet of Praise: A is for Abundance

          *Introduction:  A while ago, I began a project:  to write a poem of praise for each letter of the alphabet.  I have been sharing these via email with a few friends recently, and my husband asked me the other day, "Why not post these on your blog?"
          With a cursory glance at recent Facebook postings, I certainly appreciate believers offering verses and individuals contributing humor as we all go through this uncertain time together. In this day of unpredictability, it is my prayer that these poems will help you as you turn your gaze to the One who never changes!
          With each poem I have posted an original photo from a location my husband and I have a visited.

A
A is for abundance
From God, the living King
Copious crops of goodness
Sourced in this Flowing Spring.

So many are His kindnesses,
Immersed with lasting grace,
From Him, our God oer’flowing—
Oh, come to Christ and taste!

The riches of His truth abound.
His Word’s from Heaven sent;
No lie or dark corruption there—
He makes us all content.

Break free from Satan’s bondage, then,
Of false philosophy;
Lay hold upon eternal Truth
To you—abundant, free!

God’s mercy now to you extends,
Oh, come to Him and be
Filled up to overflowing here
And through eternity!

“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth"  (Exodus 34:6).
