M is for Matchless Mercy
Crafted by God’s own hand;
Creation bears it witness—
A genius Master plan!
Design and wisdom joining
With love, exquisite, free
Bring fullest satisfaction
Though we’ve earned misery.
Each moment, breaths of mercy
With fragrance fill the air;
Each day a sweet deliv’rance
From Jesus Christ is there.
Flames of eternal torment
We heartily deserve,
But mercy spares that judgment,
For Christ the payment served.
Drink deeply, then, of mercy!
New vantages each day
Will beautify your vision
As faith lights up the way.
Behold this precious Jesus—
Your merciful High Priest
Who drops your path with mercy:
On Him your soul can feast!
"Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;
and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds,"
