All righteous is the Lord of Hosts
So spotless, clean and pure
Like mountains great His righteous deeds
Rise high and stand most sure.
All sin corrupts, defiles within;
God's righteousness, upright,
Pierces, as radiant as the sun
Unparalleled, most bright.
By offering His precious blood,
Our spotless Lamb so pure
Has cleansed from every filthiness
That sin does e'er inure.
The perfect Judge of all the earth
Shall righteousness maintain.
Live now unto this holy God:
Depart from sin's dark stain.
He never fails; each word He speaks
Will truly come to pass.
The righteous God speaks righteousness;
His fear shall ever last!
God knows the way of those who seek
His righteousness and truth;
He tries the hearts and motives deep
To test their works forsooth.
Afflictions oft distress our souls,
And yet the Righteous One
Delivers and sustains His own,
Who in His pathways run.
In Christ Alone, our righteousness
Is found forevermore.
For all the goodness of man's heart
Corrupt is at its core.
By His obedience He extends
His Righteousness to me!
A crown awaits. This Righteous Judge
Doth for us ever plead.
Oh, may we ne'er forget this One,
The Righteous God for aye:
His Judgments stand forevermore,
And judge us shall someday.
