V is for Christ the Victor,
Our Resurrection Power,
Defeating death and Satan,
In every passing hour.
Those dead in sin, through Jesus
Quite instantly can be
Quickened to life eternal
When in Him they believe.
None but the God of Ages,
Who always is the same,
Can from such evil break us:
We triumph in His name!
This conquering Christ, our Savior,
Gives faith to overcome
The world and all its trappings,
Which Christians oft does shun.
Go forth in Christ Victorious;
Live in His strength today.
The bonds of Hell’s destruction
In Him do slip away.
