We stand condemned, unworthy
Of mercy from above;
But Christ stands ever worthy
In hearts made pure by love.
Of praises He is worthy,
This One who rescued thee
From evil plots of darkened minds
And set your spirit free.
While we stand most unworthy
Of intervening grace,
The blessings of God’s precious Book,
The promise of His face. . .
Our Lord is ever worthy.
None can with Him compare,
Who soothes our every sorrow
And every need does bear!
In Heaven, Christ--most worthy--
Will open up the Book.
None else can break the seal there,
Nor other beings look.
All glory, honor, power
He’s worthy to receive.
To Christ the Savior give them:
His praises ever plead.
This spotless Lamb most worthy
All honor shall receive.
For He did ransom sinners;
His wounds for them did bleed.
Join in a song of praise then
To Christ, the worthy King!
For every tribe and nation
Redeemed by Him shall sing!
Rev. 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord,
to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things,
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
