Fixing Our Eyes on Christ

Over many years of reflection and writing, the Lord has been faithful to return my attention again and again to the unchanging call of Scripture: to fix our eyes on Christ. Through changing seasons—ordinary days, moments of loss, seasons of waiting, and times of renewal—God has not changed, nor has His Word. Again and again, He has used both His Word and the ordinary workings of life in His world to turn my gaze away from circumstance and back to His Son. These reflections were written across time, not to explain life, but to bear witness to Christ’s faithfulness and to the enduring truth of Scripture that continues to direct our eyes to Him.

The Sovereignty of God in Ordinary Life

Scripture teaches that nothing in God’s world is by chance, and that every detail of life unfolds under His sovereign hand. These reflections consider ordinary moments and passing things in light of that enduring truth.

Scripture teaches that what is of Christ endures, while what is merely temporal fades. The reflections gathered here consider love, joy, and grace as they appear quietly over time under God’s enduring work.
